Joe moved to Sarasota in 2009 shortly before retiring from Booz Allen Hamilton in 2011 as an Executive Vice President. At Booz Allen he was a member of the Firm’s Executive Leadership Team who was responsible for the strategy and operation of the firm. Additionally, he was the managing partner for the firm’s US Defense Business with revenues of more than $2 billion with staff of approximately 10,000 across 15 national and international locations. While at Booz Allen he was the lead partner for firm’s People Programs and served on the firm’s Board of Directors for two, three-year terms – one term as Chair of the Finance Committee. Upon graduating from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 1974, Joe worked for the St. Mary’s County, Maryland’s Land Use & Development Office and later at Tracor Applied Sciences as a program analyst at the Naval Air Systems Command in St. Inigoes, Maryland.

He has a history of supporting nonprofits including a brief period early in his career as a member of the Maryland Tri County Youth Services and helping to establish the 501(c)3 Youth Business Initiative (YBI) in Northern Virginia.
